Flying without Fear: Effective Strategies to Get You Where You Need to Go ReviewI bought this book because I have fear when I fly. I discovered that my actual fear is of heights, and much less so, of actual flying. I did pick up some information about the sounds that planes make that can exacerbate my fears, but I also found myself starting to pick up new fears from exposure to ideas that had never occurred to me. I managed not to do so, but I did not find the book helpful. However, if your fear is more centered around flying--fearing mechanical failures, human failure in terms of the pilot or air traffic control, terrorism, or even claustrophobia--the book might be very helpful.
